Buildings and Facilities

Bolingbroke Academy is built on the landmark site of the former Bolingbroke Hospital. It continues its tradition of service to the local community. We are pleased that the building will also be able to host a doctors’ surgery for local families. The listed building is being fully refurbished and modernised to provide excellent learning facilities while preserving the building’s historic features. We are creating high quality classrooms and specialist spaces for science, music and technology.

PE and Recreation

The academy will have a new, two court, sports hall and will make good use of local facilities for outdoor games and competitive sport. Although the site has limited external play space, staggered break times will enable pupils to make good use of it.

Travel

As a local school we hope pupils will live close enough to walk or cycle to school. We will discourage car use and incentivise the use of other forms of transport.

Academy Plans

ARK Schools and Wandsworth Council are working with contractor Carillion Plc to develop the academy. The drawings and plans for the building can be viewed below
