Swing into Summer concert promises great night of entertainment

Make sure you clear your diary for next week’s Swing into Summer concert on Tuesday 9th July at St Barnabas Church, when our talented musicians from across the year groups will be playing a medley of music from a number of genres.

The junior band will be serenading the audience with some John Newman and Ben E King numbers, while the Basement Boys will be playing some hits from the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. The choir will be singing some Abba and Bob Dylan chart-toppers, while the senior band will be raiding the back catalogue of Duke Ellington, Neil Diamond and Vaughan Williams.

On a classical note, the woodwind ensemble will be tackling Tchaikovsky’s Arab Dance from the Nutcracker, while the musical scholars and apprentices will be performing a version of Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody.

Oddono’s ice cream, Pimms and other refreshments will be on sale beforehand and in the interval to make the proceedings go with a swing, and ease everyone nicely into the summer mood!

Tickets are available now on Wisepay, £4 for adults and £2 concessions. 6pm, Tuesday July 9th, St Barnabas Church, Battersea Rise.
