A group of our Year 8 and 9 girls are extremely proud to have won first place in the Chelsea FC 'Standing Together Programme' after delivering their presentation and speeches on discrimination and won the competition against 6 other local schools.

A huge well done to Amelie, Kia, Safiyyah, Sakeena, Erin and Shasmeen who showed immense bravery and excellent presentation skills to deliver their ideas on discrimination to an audience, They were voted as the best school and were given the prize of home match tickets to a Chelsea FC game.

Funded by the Mayor of London’s Shared Endeavour Fund, the project aimed to tackle racism, hate, intolerance and extremism and was lauched as part of the Foundation’s commitment to delivering education projects around the theme of equality, diversity and inclusion. The project, delivered in schools to Year 8 and 9 pupils, allowed the participants to celebrate diversity, which is key to ensuring we embed positive values and attitudes.Participants were also encouraged to safely challenge and make informed decisions and choices while working with experts from organisations such as the Metropolitan Police, Kick It Out and more.
