Take advantage of more time at home and take up the Bolingbroke reading challenge!
Friday 27 March 2020
How to Train Your Dragon - just one of the recommended books in the school's Reading Challenge aimed to widen the breadth of pupils' reading
Even though pupils are now learning from home, the Bolingbroke Reading Challenge is still running, so if you haven't yet signed up to the challenge now is a great opportunity to begin as we spend more time inside our homes. The challenge helps aims to help pupils to widen their reading variety.
“There are three different levels to the challenge, so if you are an avid reader or simply would like start reading more often there isn’t a better excuse to start now!” explained library assistant Ms Meddle.
To take part, pupils will need to download the Reading Challenge grid, see here: Bolingbroke Reading Challenge.pdf. Once pupils have finished reading a book, they simply need to take the Accelerated Reader quiz on the book so Ms Meddle can verify.
Please email Ms Meddle with a picture of your personalised grid, once you have achieved Bronze (two books).
If you have any other questions about the challenge, please do not hesitate to contact Ms Meddle.
Not sure what to read next?
All pupils in KS3 were encouraged to borrow up to three books from the school library before we closed due to Covid-19 last week.
