Virtual Sports Week

Just because we're still in lockdown doesn't mean to say all you athletes out there can't show off your abilities! As we are sadly unable to hold Sports Day this year, we will be holding a Virtual Sports Week in its place, on the week beginning July 6th.

We usually raise money at sports day via an array of fantastic stalls, but are obviously unable to do so this year. However, we are not going to let lockdown get in the way of our plans, so we are going to raise funds virtually and have chosen the Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust to support.

CHALLENGES

MONDAY - STAY BALANCED   

Task: Try to stay balanced with one leg against your knee, and on your tip toes. Time how long you can hold it for. The house with the greatest overall time wins, but the individual with the best time will gain bonus points!

Task: Try this co-ordination challenge! The house with the greatest overall number wins, but the individual with the highest overall score will earn bonus points!

Task: Have a go at this plank challenge. The house with the greatest overall time wins, but the individual with the best effort will gain bonus points.

Task: Try this keepy uppy challenge! The house with the greatest number of keepy ups wins, but the individual with the best effort will gain bonus points.

SATURDAY - THE MARATHON   

Task: Walk, jog, or run any distance you like and time yourself. Capture a screenshot of the time and distance through any app on your smart phone, fit bit or smart watch. The house with the greatest overall distance wins, but the individual with the best stats will gain bonus points.

Task: Push yourself to the limit! How many push-ups can you complete in 30 seconds? The house with the greatest overall number wins, but the individual with the most push-ups will gain bonus points.
