Parent Association Annual Spring Fair - A Great Day!

Parent Association Annual Spring Fair 2017

On a gloriously sunny Saturday the grounds of Bolingbroke Academy were a hive of activity with our 4th Annual Spring Fair run by the Parent Association and sponsored by Rochford Stokes.

The aim of the Spring Fair is to bring together pupils, families, friends and the local community to have a fun filled aftenoon with the main objective of raising funds for the music, sports and art departments at the Academy.

The food on offer gets better and better every year with many countries represented and showing the rich diversity of our school community: Ecuadorian, Lebanese, Italian and Indian food as well as Cakes, Hotdogs, Popcorn, Healthy Juices and Candyfloss all making an appearance. Our main sponsors Rochford Stokes were, as ever, hugely supportive both financially and by their physical presence with lots of red balloons!

There were many other fun stalls including Face Painting,a  Nail Bar, Henna Body Art, Photobooth, Washable Tattoos, Karaoke and other old school favourites including The Grand National,
Penalty Shootout and the Coconut Shy.

Well done to all the Competition Winners:

Nia Dale who created a wonderful picture that won the Poster competition and graced the Rochford Stokes Boards.
Winner of the Cake Competition Eva Burnett (Year 10) who made the most amazing Rainbow Cake
The defending Champions from 2016 won the Table Tennis Competition – Freddy Birkett and Kapinga Bellamy.
The Raffle was tremendously well supported; a big thank you to all our sponsors (who are far too many to mention as we had over 50 prizes but were listed on the map.) First prize went to Keith Martin, second to Ben Burnett and third prize to Anita Grant.

Thank you to everyone for coming and to the enormous number of volunteers who enabled our this Spring Fair to be our best yet. In particular, thank you to Patti Gnoato and her team for raising a significant sum for our resources.
