All the fun of the fair coming to Bolingbroke!
From karaoke to a chocolate tombola, a penalty shoot out to nerf guns, lucky dips and even a jump castle, this year's annual Spring Fair promises to be bigger and better than ever, with something for the whole family to enjoy.
With over 34 stalls to browse around, there simply won't be time to get bored. If you fancy a new look, then head to the hair feathering stall, or perhaps a henna tattoo (washable!), would be more your thing, while children will love seeing themselves transformed into spider man, a butterfly or a tiger by the expert face-painting team on hand. If you're in the market for a new school uniform then the second hand stall where you can snap up a school blazer or other regulation kit at bargain prices will fit the bill, or buy some beautiful new plants for your home at the plant stall. Alternavely, treat yourself to a new necklace or bracelet from the selection of jewellery for sale.
And you certainly won't go hungry, with a veritable smorgasbord of delicious delicacies on offer to tempt your tastebuds. International food stalls offering cuisine from Spain, Lebanon, India, Italy, Ecuador and France will be on offer, while no fair would be complete without the obligatory popcorn and candyfloss. For those who fancy a tipple, the bar will be reassuringly well-stocked with beers, wine and Pimms, while a juice bar will also be on hand for thirst-quenching freshly squeezed fruity drinks, along with tea, coffee and cake, not to mention delicious ice cream from Oddonos.
Last year the Fair raised £7.300 for the school, and this year the aim is to hit the £10,000 mark, with funds raised in 2018 contirbuting towards the cost of essential resources such as SEN laptops, text books, Hegarty Maths subscription, mini bus costs and outdoor furniture.
Make sure you buy some raffle tickets too, which will be available to buy in advance of the Fair, as there are some fantstic prizes on offer, including six bottles of Chateau neuf du Pape; an ipad mini; a £100 John Lewis voucher; a £100 Oddono's voucher; a meal for two from Emma's Kitchen; a £100 Three Cheers Pub voucher; six gym passes for Fybre Fitness Hub; £85 to spend at Halfords; a £75 Amazon voucher; and paintballing for 10 people at UK Paintball.
We are still looking for donations for the adult tombola and chocolate tombola, as well as the raffle and cake stall, so if anyone is able to contribute, we would be very grateful! And if you are willing and able to spare a few hours on the day, then please get in touch with Fereal Addicot who along with other members of the Parent's Association including Patrizia Gnoato, has been instrumental in organising the whole event - email@example.com.
Sponsored by local property company Moveli Real Estate, the Fair is being held on Saturday May 18th, and kicks off at 12pm - 3pm, so make sure you keep the date free, and tell your friends and family all about this great day out.
