intro

Our heritage is that of a community committed to the achievement and opportunity of all its citizens – a commitment our school will share.

We recognise that to achieve great things, we need great people. That’s why we will help you to be the very best that you can be, throughout your entire career. We offer twice the standard number of training days – including our network-wide ‘Hub Days’ where peers join together to learn and share best practice. There are also opportunities for online training and bespoke learning and mentoring programmes.

Our pupils will inspire you on a daily basis and you will be making a real difference to their lives.

Be part of something special

We are a truly local school, founded in 2012 after a campaign for a non-selective local school by Battersea parents and residents. We have been praised by Ofsted, achieving a Good rating after only a year and we have big plans for the future. We will be welcoming our first Year 13's in September so you can be part of shaping our first ever A Level results and be here when our first cohort of students move on to university.

We are officially recognised as a ‘Dyslexia Friendly School’ by the British Dyslexia Association. Princess Beatrice even paid us a visit to talk to our students and staff about our work supporting children with Dyslexia!

By joining Bolingbroke Academy, you will be shaping the school for future generations.

Training and development

We recognise that to achieve great things, we need great people. That’s why we will help you to be the very best that you can be, throughout your entire career. We offer twice the standard number of training days – including our network-wide ‘Hub Days’ where peers join together to learn and share best practice. There are also opportunities for online training and bespoke learning and mentoring programmes.

If you're ambitious, we have a programme called "Aspiring to Headship" which identifies teachers with leadership potential, and helps them develop the skills they need to become a great head or principal.

Make a difference where it matters the most

Ark schools are always based in the communities where we can make the biggest difference to children’s lives. We take on some of the most challenging schools in the country. Many of our schools have a history of academic under-achievement or are in areas of economic disadvantage. We have more than ten years' experience of successfully transforming schools, building outstanding new schools and improving the life chances of some of the most disadvantaged young people in the country.

As a part of our schools' network, you’ll work with colleagues from different subjects, schools and cities, and have the chance to take on network-wide responsibilities such as leading programmes or training.

Ark Network Days

Three times a year, people working in specific roles or subject areas get together to share best practice and deepen their subject knowledge with peers from across the Ark network.

Have an impact far beyond your own school

f you want to be part of the effort to advance and improve education, join Ark. From creating and working with new curricula and teaching techniques, to collaborating with other schools and partners to share what works, we’re always aiming for system change. Through Ark Ventures, we incubate, launch and scale initiatives, such as Mathematics Mastery, English Mastery, Institute for Teaching and Ambition School Leadership, that address some of the most intractable issues in education and society – in the UK and around the world.
