On Wednesday 7th of December, the annual year 7 Invention Convention took place. All year 7 students presented their invention ideas and concepts to students from year 8 and 9, as well staff and sixth formers. The students have worked hard this term to produce prototype of their invention as well as a poster explaining how it worked. They spent the afternoon presenting and answering questions in a conference-style event. The creativity and problem-solving skills of the students led to some incredible inventions, such as a dyslexia book reader, automatic ball launcher and 'look behind you glasses' to name but a few. The students from other years voted on their best inventions and the winner will be announced at our Annual Speech Day and Prizegiving ceremony.
