Year 9 Progress Review
An opportunity to discuss your child’s progress and begin thinking about their next steps.
February of Year 9 year
Subject Choice Recommendation
You will receive a message via MCAS from me outlining the subject choice recommendation for your child.
Early March of Year 9 year
GCSE Preferences Information Evening
An opportunity to find out more about the GCSE process and the subjects available. There will be presentations from Ms Edis, Ms Duncan (Assistant Principal: Curriculum and Assessment), and Heads of Department for each subject.
Mid-March of Year 9 year
1:1 Careers Guidance Meetings
Every pupil will have an individual careers guidance meeting with Ms Robinson, Careers and Development Lead, to help them consider their interests, strengths and future options.
Mid-March of Year 9 year
GCSE Preferences Form
You will receive a message via MCAS with a link to submit your child’s GCSE preferences through an online form.
Early May of Year 9 year
Confirmation of GCSE Subjects
Confirmation of your child’s GCSE subjects will be sent via MCAS. Individual follow-up will be available where required.
Year 10
GCSE courses commence.
