'Jack Petchey - Speak Out Challenge'
Last week, thirty Year 10 students took part in a 'Jack Petchey - Speak Out Challenge'. Throughout the day the students learnt numerous techniques for introducing themselves, making points, telling stories and giving speeches. After many lively paired activities and interactive discussions, each student delivered their own mini speech on a subject of their choice in-front of their peers. From this, Ruby, Ariel, Sana, Josiah and Ali were selected to develop their speeches and perform them in front of their whole year group. After this, two finalists will be selected to compete in the Wandsworth Regional Finals. The day was a great success and everyone who took part demonstrated huge courage as well as fostering their public speaking skills!
