The London Surrey & West Sussex Computing Hub recently collaborated with Just Eat to organise an engaging student event at their impressive office in London EC4.

The event focused on KS3 students, with a special emphasis on encouraging more girls to explore Computer Science. Mr Starr and a group of Year 8 girls from Bolingbroke were fortunate to attend.

The event kicked off with an interactive quiz where students eagerly participated by scanning codes on their devices and voting on entertaining statistical questions. After the quiz, students teamed up with STEM ambassadors for a 'Coding Challenge', which involved creating a menu, placing orders, and calculating the total cost.

An all-female panel of Just Eat Ambassadors shared their career paths, qualifications, and daily responsibilities. Students were able to ask their questions, after catching a giant padded cube microphone, making the session lively and engaging. The event wrapped up with a tour of Just Eat cutting-edge office, providing over 50 students with an inspiring glimpse into the operations of a global tech company.
