13th Annual Speech Day and Prizegiving
Yesterday our whole school community came together for our 13th Annual Speech Day and Prizegiving ceremony: a celebration of our young people's achievements throughout the academic year. Ms Edis addressed 800 young people, 100 staff and over 200 parents/carers, grandparents, governors and friends of Bolingbroke Academy who attended the event. Ms Edis shared her wonderful reflections on the academic year reminding us all why Bolingbroke Academy is such a unique place. We are immensely proud of our non-selective status, yet our young people's outcomes perform in the in the top 1% of state schools in the country. We are proud of our socially and economically inclusive community, and believe our diversity is our greatest strength.
Our Guest of Honour was Sufyan Khan, from the founding cohort the Class of 2019. He spoke passionately of his time at Bolingbroke Academy. He reflected on his journey from Year 7 to 13 and how embracing every opportunity and taking part is key to developing one’s character. He believed his educational experience in an outstanding non-selective Academy has given him the edge ahead his peers on his journey to becoming President of Kings College Dentistry Association.
We are immensely proud of all our prize winners for the academic year 2023-2024:
